My friend Peter Thayer sent me a paper copy of the article that appeared on Vanity Fair magazine about the history of the web: “How the Web Was Won“.
Vanity Fair interviews people that shaped the World Wide Web, from Leonard Kleinrock who worked in the seminal project ARPA, all the way to Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.
The bonus of the online edition is that you get to hear the interviews in an easy to use audio player.
This should be required reading/listening for anyone working on anything web-related.
Thanks to all of our founding fathers and to Vanity Fair for this incredible project. Now all we need is a video documentary with all these people.
