Mr. Escobar:

A fine blog indeed. . .your Dad should be proud!

Thanks for the Wisdom — and best of luck to you.

J,

I know you wrote this article… I can see your name below it.
So I suppose my name and a link to my Flickr page would be about right.

Nice article by the way.

Best wishes.

Hi _SiD_,

I agree with you, the photographs can add a lot to the blogger's post. The way I attribute credit is by hyperlinking to the photograph's flickr page. I guess that's not enough, and I'm willing to take full responsability.

What would be a suitable crediting method in your opinion? Having a "photo by [photographer's name] hyperlinking to your flickr page"?

I'm open to discussion and will do said changes immediately after I hear from you.

What hasn’t changed from those years is the need for professional, thought-provoking and unique content.

I take it that would include photography?
It really makes the article stand out… in fact it's perfectly suited, it might even enhance the article and make me want to read it.

It's a great photograph… I should know… I spent about an hour trying to take it.
Recently I've begun to completely copyright all my pics.
Bloggers think photography is essential to a well written piece (same as Newspapers) nothing new there then. Unfortunately they don't really value photography. If they did they'd drop the photographer a line… ask permission… tell them the context in which they wish to use it… and finally credit them. They're getting it for nothing after all!

I thought the CC "no dervs" "attribution" was a great idea – in the spirit of "the web" if you know what I mean. It's become totally abused by bloggers so much so that they'll probably kill the goose and end up having to go to Getty and pay through the nose… which explains why Getty have started trying to license selected imagery on Flickr.

_SiD_ (the fella who took time to take the photograph (above) ) It was taken in a shopping mall in Armagh, Ireland.
