I'm actually in the process of doing my own blovel (a mystery, told through interview excerpts and "found" documents) and the response I'm getting seems positive. My situation's a little different though, because I actually already wrote the novel while I was in graduate school, I just thought the format I wrote it in would be interesting to publish in a blog.
